There are trips… and there are journeys.
Trips offer amazing experiences and memories.
Journeys change you on the inside.
When it comes to journeys of the earth and of the spirit, exploring the sacred and mystic with a curiosity and presence that informs the heart and imprints the soul is my favourite kind of journey.
Years ago, my soul was being called to Peru. I signed up and made my deposit to go on a journey to explore Machu Picchu and other spiritual sites in the sacred valley of the Incas.
I was stoked! Then something altered my plans.
I had an unexpected opportunity to attend a high-level writers’ training in Africa. The energy and emotion of this call to adventure were so compelling, I could literally feel it in my cells. I cancelled my plans for Peru and booked a ticket to Swaziland. (That’s a whole other story!)
While my journeys to Africa have been transformational and frequent, I never forgot about Peru…and the draw of its mysticism and magic.
Fast forward to last September, when ‘out of the blue’ I received an invitation for a mystical 10-day tour through the heart of Peru’s sacred valley. The offer was from the same person who led the trip I had intended to take almost 10 years earlier!
Divine timing strikes again.
And wait, it gets better.
This journey, at this time, promises to be even more powerful as I am at a deeper place in my own personal growth, and open and ready to dive into my own mystical nature. And I am excited to invite others to join me.
On this soul-inspired adventure, as we explore one of the most mystical places on the planet, we will:
- Stay at a gorgeous retreat centre with Indigenous design, cuisine, and staff, imbued with its own essence of love, peace, and tranquility.
- Bathe in the wonder and energy of not only Machu Picchu but also enjoy guided visits to other spiritual sites such as Cusco, Ollantaytambo, and Chinchero.
- Ride horseback to a sacred lake 2.5 miles above sea level, in the Andes, and revel in one of Peru’s natural wonders.
- Commune with Incan shamans around a campfire
- Rediscover the importance of ceremony in our secular lives
- Reconnect with spirit and our own multi-dimensional nature.
This will be so much more than a trip. It will be an adventure into the unknown.

When we walk the path of the mystic, following truths that are beyond the mind’s understanding, we must feel and respond rather than plan our way.
