February is heart month, when many celebrate love, not just romantic love, and all things related to the heart.
Many people are connecting to the power of love in a different way, discovering the heart has its own energetic frequency, wisdom, and intelligence that goes far beyond its physical and vital functions.
Humanity is beginning to realize that the heart contains a higher intelligence, and source of intuitive guidance that is both helpful and effective in navigating life, love, and the world at large. It’s also a fiery catalyst in creating new realities and the increased capacity to manifest them.
Years ago, when I was invited to climb Mt. Kilimanjaro (at age 55) I wasn’t sure my body was up to it. But I knew my heart was…and I used its intuitive guidance every step of the way to make it to the top of Africa’s highest mountain.
From the decision to climb, to the personal training, to the perfect group, and best guides to lead us on a 7-day journey to reach the summit at 19,400 feet, I let my heart lead, and my mind and body follow.
What did I discover? When things got challenging and I tuned into my heart my mind relaxed and my body got stronger.
According to the HeartMath Institute, the heart’s electromagnetic field is 5000 times greater than the brain’s. The heart is also associated with a deep wisdom, and intuitive knowingness that bypasses normal logical, linear thought patterns.
On Kilimanjaro, and so many times in my life, I experienced that the heart knows things the mind cannot explain.
I’ve discovered that when you’re looking for answers, the best place to start is your heart. Attuned to the energy of the heart and its intelligence, we become closer to our true nature, power, and effectiveness.
