As I write this, we are the energy of a new year, new moon, and in my case, new and unexpected adventures.
It’s a powerful time not just to set new intentions that lay the foundation for the new, but also to reflect and let go of what is up to leave in the upcoming months–-perhaps perfectionism or fear of the unknown—whatever no longer serves you and stands in the way of your dreams for 2024.
This moment, this day, this year, feels like the divine time to:
- Let your dreams and your ideas live. And bring them into form.
- Honour the path of your soul’s calling.
- Explore what inspires you.
- Know what depletes you.
- Tune in to what excites you.
The energetic frequency of the next few weeks is an auspicious time to open your heart to receive both guidance and divine assistance for your future success.
Here’s what I mean.
Last October I led a small group of women on a life-changing African adventure to Namibia. The 11-day tour was described by participants as “mesmerizing” and “a trip of a lifetime.” I decided to create another “Magic of Namibia” tour for 2024.
However, after two months (beginning in Oct. 2023) of working to secure my preferred dates and accommodations for this year’s trip, I discovered everything was already fully booked. The Namibia 2024 tour no longer felt aligned. I let it go and will not be returning this year.
As soon as I made that decision, here’s what happened. As one door closed, others opened.

And that’s not all!
On the day of the new moon, I reconnected with a close friend who has a beautiful property in Marche, Italy. It’s located in a very spiritual part of the country near a sacred mountain and place where monks once lived. Her newly renovated villa “Casa Janna,” a space for Holistic Living, will be open to travellers this spring. Dates and accommodations are set! In May, I will visit and explore doing a future retreat there.
I believe these new and unexpected adventures manifested with such ease and speed because to I chose to surrender my fear and need for control, and let my heart and higher wisdom to guide me.
I followed my bliss (as Joseph Campbell said) and doors opened where I didn’t know they existed—yet.
I allowed these sweet creations to simply unfold, giving them my energy, focus, and attention in an intuitive way, without pushing or demanding things go a certain way.
I think of this heart-centred, intuitive guidance as manifestation by invitation, rather than by force. That’s true power.
