Learning to Be Brave

Continuing on my series of posts on unlocking your intuitive superpowers in business and in life—here’s part three.

Learning to access, act on, and LIVE from your intuitive knowing and highest wisdom is not for the faint of heart… it’s for brave hearts.

Following your gut, wild hunches, or inner calling with nothing to go on but pure faith takes courage, trust… and moxie.

As I’ve said before, ACTING on intuition is what really separates the good from the great, the bold from the fearful, and those fighting for freedom from those fighting for their limitations.

This week I spoke to a group of business women on how to not only free their minds, but also free their hearts and simply surrender their limitations… even if just for a while.

After a brief guided meditation, I helped them tune into their heart’s energy and let their higher conscious start offering a few clues to the best next step to take toward growing their business.

And the Universe did not disappoint. Creative ideas such as designing a new product, finding studio space, and collaborating with a new business partner popped up as they called forth some inspired high-level strategy.

However, as they shared that next step toward their big goal or dream, I witnessed both excitement and mild terror in their eyes.

When pushed beyond your boundaries, and way over the edge of your usual limits, often thoughts like these come up:

Will this idea work?

Can I pull it off?

I’ve never done this before.

I don’t have a map!

That’s where the journey to greatness gets interesting. Herein lie the beauty and the battle of following your intuition.

When your intuition shows you a better but scarier way, hearing and heeding the call takes some warrior training.

As author Steven Pressfield says, “The artist learns to be brave.” I believe this also applies to entrepreneurs, leaders, and inspired humans in general.

We can learn to be brave… and fortune favours the brave.

Those who lead from their heart (and intuition) hear the call, feel the trembling inside, and act anyway.

She goes where she is called.

She embraces the mystery of the unknown.

She learns to be brave, one step at a time.

Using your intuition is a skill that takes practice but, as Einstein said, it’s also “a sacred gift” we all have. Why not receive and appreciate the gift?

That gift helps you reach beyond old boundaries and limitations into the deep pools of wisdom, clarity, and courage that lie within.

The word courage comes from the Latin word “cor,” which means heart.

Just as I did with the business women I spoke to earlier this week, I invite you to tune into the energy of your heart anytime, anywhere—because it will serve you well in decisions big and small, and reward you in ways you that will blow your mind.

When my heart calls, I always pick up its messages.

This week I got an intuitive “hit” to go to Paris.

Fifteen years ago, I spent an incredible year in Provence, yet have never been drawn to return to France. Until now.

Paris is a small part of a bigger “inspired plan,” and I’m leaving the details up to the Universe.

I simply listened and took the next step. I booked the ticket. It was $413.

I’ll be in Paris in early October.

Stay tuned.
